Take a journey back to the Hundred Acre Wood for a visit with Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends in Disney's Activity Center: Winnie the Pooh from Creative Capers Entertainment and Disney Interactive. This collection of activities is based on the stories and characters created by A.A. Milne (1882-1956), in collaboration with illustrator E.H. Shepard, for Milne's son, Christopher Robin. Designed to both entertain and educate, the game is targeted at children ages three to six.
The controls are all based on simple point-and-click actions, with buttons on the Story and Activity Screens, as well as the Pick A Page Screen. The Pick A Page Screen gives you an overview of the Hundred Acre Wood, where you can maneuver the mouse to click on six different areas to visit and play activities. The activities you can play are: Read With Pooh, Hang on Piglet, Tigger's Hillside Hop, Heffalumps and Woozles, Owl's Decorating, and Eeyore's House Hunt.
On each Activity Screen you will find buttons for Leveling , which are used to adjust the difficulty of the activity from "1" (easy) to "3" (hard) at any time during gameplay. You can also exit back to the Pick A Page Screen, to quit the game or go to another activity. There is also a Help button.
The six different activities all follow the storyline of the book that serves as the theme for the game, -Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. In Read With Pooh, you will read the story with the loveable Pooh Bear, but he needs your help to make sure that all the buzzing bees are caught and sent back to the hive to make honey If you need to replay any parts of the story just click on the Text icon, the narrator will re-read the screen.
In Hang on Piglet, it's a very blustery day in the Hundred Acre Wood, so Pooh and Piglet need your help to ride out the wind. Guide them to safety through the obstacles to Owl's house.
Tigger's Hillside Hop begins as Christopher Robin is hosting a hero party in honor of Pooh and Piglet. Before the party starts, you must bounce around the hillside and collect all the scattered party items. It's Rabbit versus Tigger in either a one- or two-player contest.
Heffalumps and Woozles finds Pooh off on a good sleep after a satisfying meal of honey. Dreaming can always be a danger for the ever imaginative Pooh Bear, and this time he's dreamed up a doozy In this dreamy activity you can mix and match heads, legs, eyes, and many other body parts to make your own Heffalumps and Woozles, or try and recreate the beasties from Pooh's dreams.
In Eeyore's House Hunt, that grumpy old donkey is busy helping Owl find a new house after his blows down. You must help Eeyore build a bridge across the flooded Hundred Acre Wood to find Owl a new home.
The last activity is Decorating Owl's House. Here you will find Owl getting settled into his new home (thanks to Eeyore and Piglet), and he needs your help to decorate. You can choose from a variety of items at the bottom of the screen to click and use for the job. ~ Tara Hernandez, All Game Guide
